Please review our Covid-19 Patient Procedure prior to your appointment.
We are open and accepting referrals for Pulmonary Function Testing
Credit Valley Pulmonary Diagnostics is committed to continuing to provide our patients with a safe and effective experience of pulmonary function testing. We have taken many additional measures, even beyond what is recommended by governing bodies, to ensure our mutual safely during this uncertain time of the spread of COVID-19.
Additional Patient Screening
All patients will be prescreened prior to the day of their appointment over the telephone. Once you have arrived at our clinic, our staff will screen you in person prior to the test. If an escort is required to accompany the patient to the office (due to translation or transportation requirements), they too are asked to wear a mask and will also be screened by our staff. Please wash or sanitize your hands while you wait for our staff to greet you. Patients will not be tested if they fail our screening tools.
Staff Screening
Staff are required to complete a self-screening tool before they arrive for their shift. They will be permitted to enter clinic premises only if they pass the screening process.
Staff and Patient Temperature
As part of our screening process, we will be taking body temperatures for all staff prior to their shift, and for all patients prior to entering our office. If the temperature measured is greater than 37.5 degrees Celsius, the test will be cancelled.
Enhanced Cleaning
We have increased our cleaning standards in response to the virus. As a public health facility, our cleaning standards were already higher than most public places, as we are required to follow Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) Guidelines for cleanliness. We will also be filtering and exchanging the air in between patients in the testing rooms, which will remain empty for this process.
Full PPE for Staff
Expect to see our frontline staff in full PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). This includes a face mask, face shield, gloves, and isolation gown.
PPE for Patients
All patients and any essential visitors are being asked to wear a mask or homemade cloth face covering upon entering the building. Everyone is asked to sanitize their hands upon arrival, and after every encounter with another person.
Reorganization of Patient Flow
We have reduced our patient flow and reorganized the way patients are cared for throughout their visit in an attempt to prevent the spread of the virus.
